Why We Preach Jesus Name

"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." (Isaiah 43:11 KJV)

"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts: I am the first , and the last; and beside me there is no God."  (Isaiah 44:6 KJV)

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.  (John 8:24 KJV)

Understanding Jesus Name

To fully understand why we preach and teach the Oneness of God (Jesus Name), we must also understand the trinity doctrine.  It is a common misconception that the trinity doctrine is the belief in three Gods.  The trinity doctrine actually teaches one God in three separate persons:  God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  It teaches that we must worship God in the three separate persons, so that we do not take away the deity of any one person in the Godhead.

God the Father:  The father of Jesus Christ, and the creator of all things.  The Son:  The savior, the one that died for our sins.  The Holy Ghost:  The spirit of God

The Trinity doctrine believes it takes all three person to make one God, or all three person in the Godhead.

Who is the Father?  Mathew 1:20 states:  . . . for that which in conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.   Luke 1:35 states:  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:  therefore also the Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

This leaves a hole in the trinity doctrine or in the belief of the Triune God.  How can God the Father make a claim if another person in the Godhead was the one that overshadowed Mary.  “… For that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  So now we know that the father of Jesus Christ is none other than the Holy Ghost.

John 3:16:  “For God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not parish, but have everlasting life.”  This teaches us that the Father and the Holy Ghost are one.

Who is the Son?  Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh.  (Word:  An articulate sound, expressing and idea, A term, Information, a saying, a motto, order, assertion, or promise)

John 1:1: “ In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”   The word beginning means: comes from begin, which is the first act or action.  In the beginning (first action) was the Word (promise) and the Word was with God and was God.  John 1:2,3 :  “The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him: and without him was not anything made that was made

Jesus is the Word.  John 1:14 “And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his Glory as of the only begotten of the father,) full of grace and truth.

Show us the Father!  John 14:8 “ Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.”  Verse 9 “Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me Philip?  He that has seen me hath seen the Father:  and how sayest thou then, shew us the Father?”

I John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word,  and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one.

There are not three Gods in one, there is not One God in three.  There is one God and His name one.  His name is Jesus.  Colossian 1:19  “For it pleased the Father that in him should all the fullness dwell.

The bible teaches us to beware of man’s philosophy and deceit.  (Colossians 2 :8-9)

Jesus Christ is the promise,  He is the lamb of God, He is our Savior, and our redeemer.  He is one.
